A Pirate's life is BFR Adventure Camp theme; get ready for Labor Day weekend run
Children ages 3 1/2 to 5 are welcome to participate in a four-day, mini camp at BFR the week of July 25, according to Carole Enneking, BFR director.
Daily sessions meet from 9-10:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Activities will include crafts, games, snack and theme-based projects. Cost is $45 ($30 BFR members) and advanceregistration is required calling BFR Sports & Fitness 419-358-4150.
BFR Labor Day Weekend 5K Approaches
Runners and Walkers are encouraged to start training for the annual benefit race to be held on Saturday, Sept. 3 (check-in 8:30 a.m.). The 3.1 mile course begins at BFR and runsthrough Bluffton neighborhoods.
A Pump n Run option will again be offered, allowing participants to combine weight lifting challenges thatwill lessen their run time. Cost for the race and pump n run is $15.
A 1-mile Fun Run is also offered for youth and walkers. Visit the websitewww.bfronline.com for more information about the race. Volunteers are needed to serve as course assistants, as well.
