Scott K. Murray, 1929-2011
Scott K. Murray, 81, died at 3:30 p.m., Aug. 23, 2011, at his Wapakoneta, Ohio, residence.
He was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Bluffton to Nile and Ethel Scoles Murray. On Sept. 8, 1948, he married Patricia J. O'Brien, who died July 18, 2005.
Mr. Murray had been an electrician and high-voltage lineman for Ohio Power Co., and later with the city of Wapakoneta and the city of St. Marys.
Survivors include four children, Jeff (Elizabeth D.) Murray and Marie Madeiros, both of Wapakoneta, Kelly (Martha) Murray, of Botkins, and Julie (Nathan) Martin, of Yankton, S.D.; a former daughter-in-law, Druscilla Caudill of Crescent City, Fla., 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three siblings, Jeanette (Max) Miller of Loveland, Maurice (Dolores) Murray of Seattle, and Marilyn (Howard) Shelly, of Bluffton.
He was preceded in death by a son Tom Murray; and a brother, Roger (Kay) Murray.
A funeral service is at 1 p.m., Sept. 10, at Mr. Murray's woods.
