Girls' tennis: Bluffton High School team sets record at 10 straight wins
By Ron Geiser
Ten in a row!
That's the current winning streak for the Bluffton High School tennis team, which established a school record Tuesday with a 4-1 victory at Elida.
As usual, Coach Jesse Sensenig got wins from his singles players as Ashlin Gable, Emily Sprague and Kristi Geiser registered straight set wins over the hosts.
Shannon Koch and Shaye Liddick won a three-set tie-break for their eighth win of the year together, while Rachel Sehlhort and Bronwyn Greer were edged at No. 2 doubles.
Now 10-1 for the season, the Pirate netters will be severely tested in their next match at St. Marys Monday. Final home match is Sept. 27 against Van Wert.
