Here's an aerial view of Bluffton taken by Leland Gerber. Our guess is 1974 for this photo. We base this on the existence of Riley View Apartments, which were constructed that year. Notice that there is no Vance Street building yet (it was built in 1986);
Check out several landmarks:
1 - 1911 Bluffton High School
2 - Urich's IGA (now Community Market)
3 - Look closely at Citizens National Bank - what do you see?
4 - Look at the houses where the middle school is today
5 - Look at the corner of Main and College (no library)
6 - Check out the houses between First Mennonite and the high school (where's the parking lot?)
7 - Family Dollar is an A&P store.
Additional Icon viewer observations are welcome.
