David and Lenore Reiter honored as volunteers of the year
David and Lenore Reiter were named the Bluffton Senior Citizens Association volunteers of the year, according to Tonya Meyers, director. The announcement was made at the December meeting of the association's members.
David drove the bus for the Golden Swingers Band for many years and Lenore was a band member. Lenore was on the kitchen committee for fundraisers and Dave would assist in the kitchen during these events.
David and Lenore also bought supplies for several fundraisers. Bob Bowersox, president of the association board, presented the award on behalf of the association board of directors.
Several events are planned at the center in January.
Jan. 6 - Blood pressure clinic, 10 a.m. to noon
Jan. 11 - noon, monthly noon potluck, Bob Painter will give highlights of the Pennsylvania trip from last summer
Jan. 18 - Bingo with Elmcroft of Lima, 2:30 p.m.
Jan. 29-30 - Midwinter garage sale
January hobby center display - Doris J. Heldman will display her collection of pigs.

March 13 - Lima Beane Barbershop concert
