Spectrum Salon, 442 N. Main St., Bluffton, holds its first-ever cut-a-thon, and you are invited to participate, according to Mandy Kinn, owner.
From 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 18, Spectrum Salon stylists donate their time to cut hair with proceeds going to the Bluffton Good Samaritan Women’s Group.
There are no appointments connected to the cut-a-thon. It’s a first-time, first-served event. In addition to the fund-raiser aspect of Saturday, patrons will get a chance to win some door prizes.
Bluffton Good Samaritan Women’s Group leader is Andrea Dailey. The organization serves those in need in Bluffton and the greater community, according to Dailey.
Some of the focus of the Group includes:
• Needs due to illness (temporary cleaning, errands, getting out)
• Rake leaves, shovel snow
• Move furniture
• Paint
• Miscellaneous jobs
• Emergency pet care during hospitalizations
• Organizing
“If you know someone in need call us and we can take care of the rest,” said Dailey. Her contact information is:

Kinn said that she and her associates are happy to hold this cut-a-thon as they appreciate the work of the Good Samaritan group.
