Girls' soccer: Riverdale sneaks past BHS 2-0
The Bluffton junior varsity girls' soccer game kicked off at 10 a.m. on Saturday against Riverdale. Sophomore Hannah Yost in the goal blocked multiple shots to hold the Falcons to 1 goal at half time.
In the second half, freshman goalkeeper, Lilly Campbell, also blocked several shots by Riverdale, but the Falcon offense was strong, the final score was 0-5 Riverdale.
The varsity game started at noon in Bluffton, with Senior Captain Jadyn Barhorst in the goal. WIth 14 minutes left in the first half, Riverdale landed the first goal.
The Lady Pirates had several shots on goal, but failed to make one stick. They held the Falcons at one goal until the very end. With 1:20 seconds on the clock, a corner kick secured a second goal, final score 0-2 Riverdale.
