Bill Gaines remembered
Bill Gaines, who helped bring soccer to Bluffton, was remembered on Sept. 25 during the Bluffton HS boys’ versus Ada soccer match.
Gaines died July 8. He was a soccer coach in the Bluffton schools for many years. The recognition took place during halftime of the varsity contest.
Bill and his family was recognized at the game. From left, daughter, Amanda and husband, Michael Murphy, with their children; wife, Brenda Gaines; son Bill; and Wendy Gaines and son, Josh Gaines. Grandchildren are Carys Murphy, Kellen Murphy, Michael “Quinn” Murphy, and William “Liam” Murphy.
