Icon's donation to BHS orchestra
Kaitlyn Clymer, Amanda Speicher and Lily Shadle display new music folders provided to the Bluffton strings program this month through a Bluffton Icon grant.
The three are seniors in the BHS orchestra. Speicher and Clymer play violin; Shadle plays viola.
"The Icon decided to be a serious supporter of the Bluffton school strings program," said Fred Steiner. "We hope to continue this sponsorship each year."
The strings grant totaled $500. Thirty-one leather music folders were provided and have stamped "Bluffton HS Orchestra" in gold lettering. Rachael Lewis is the school strings instructor.
