Elementary Christmas project raises $2,840.84
Blufton elementary students raised $2,840.84 in this year's elementary Christmas project, according to Christine McCafferty, teacher who assisted.
"We collected change for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Each grade level brought in money to help this special cause," she said.
The students did jobs around the house, asked family members, and used money from their piggy banks to help this special cause.
On Friday McCafferty's classes took the change collected to the Citizens National Bank to watch it go in the coin machine and get counted. Here is one of those groups of students transporting coins to the bank.
