Preseason: Women picked 4th; men 6th in HCAC
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the results of the Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field preseason poll, with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology taking first in both the men’s and women’s polls in a vote amongst league coaches.
On the men’s side, Rose-Hulman captured the first place slot with a commanding 100 points. Hanover College finished in second with 85 points. Manchester University placed in third with 76 points, while Earlham College and Franklin College finished in a tie for fourth with 57 points apiece to round out the top-five.
For the women, the Fightin’ Engineers earned 93 points, narrowly edging out Hanover with 91 points. Manchester finished in third with 86 points, while Bluffton University (67) and Franklin (54) rounded out the top five respectively.
