University hosting Heartland men's golf championship
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) 2021 Men’s Golf Championship is set to be held at the Hidden Creek Golf Club in Lima, over the course of three days, April 29-May 2..
The event is being hosted by Bluffton University and will be contested over three days and will feature 54-holes of competition.
The men’s 2020 championship was canceled due to the COVID pandemic. With nine HCAC member schools competing in the event, Transylvania will look to defend its 2019 title, where the Pioneers captured their 13th-straight HCAC Men’s Golf Title with a team score of 882.
Earlier in the season, the conference teams competed in the HCAC Preview at the site of the championship, with Hanover College finishing on top of a tightly contested field with a two-round score of 586.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed second with a score of 588, while Transylvania rounded out the top three with a 590.
