February BHS student of the month
The February Student of the Month at Bluffton High School was John-Paul Yoder, a junior with a 4.000 GPA. John-Paul is the son of John-David Yoder and Lynda Nyce of Bluffton.
John-Paul is a member of the Academic Team, Spanish Club, Jazz Band, Pep Band and is an SOS tutor. He was on the Cross Country team and the Basketball team.
He has received multiple "Student of the Year" awards including Robotics 1, English 9, Robotics 2, Spanish 2, Chemistry and Advanced Math/Junior. He also received the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (OCTM) top school award his freshman and sophomore year.
John-Paul enjoys doing computer programming and PC/Chromebook maintenance in his spare time. He has taken CCP courses at Bluffton University including Calculus 1 & 2; at Findlay University he is taking Political Science.
He is currently undecided what area of study and which college he would like to attend after graduation next year.
