Bluffton Community Pool opens May 27
To help answer questions in advance about the upcoming season at the Bluffton Community Pool 201 Snider Rd., manager Jennifer Wilson shared the following information with the Icon and on Facebook:
1. Our opening date is set for Saturday, May 27. I will update our page for that as we get closer!
2. Our hours are the same: Mon. - Fri. 12:00 - 8:00 Sat. - Sun. 1:00 - 6:00
3. We will be offering 3 sessions of swim lessons. They start the last two weeks of June and run through July. They last for 2 weeks and you get 8 half-hour lessons (11:15-11:45 Monday - Thursday). The cost for pool members will be $40 and $50 for non-members. We will start registration when we open (hopefully) May 27th.
4. Family memberships are $160 for residents and $200 for non-residents. This includes 2 adults and 3 children. Additional children can be added for $25.
5. Grandparents cannot be added to the family pass, unfortunately. We do offer discounted passes for those over the age of 65.
6. Single passes are $80 for residents and $100 for non-residents.
7. Rentals will be $275 for two hours. We rent out the pool both before and after hours, depending on the day. Obviously, we have swim team and swim lessons during the week, so before we open won't work. The weekends are always open.
8. You will be able to make your reservations starting the day we open, May 27th, but not before. If asked, I will let you know you will need to message me again on that day. You will be required to come to the pool and fill out the paperwork and submit a $25 deposit that will go toward the cost of the rental. This will secure your date. If you don't submit the paperwork/deposit, I cannot hold the date for you longer than a week (we have too many people who sign up for a rental and don't show).
9. We will be offering 10 visit punch cards for $35.
10. Daily admission is $4.00 per person. 2 - under are free.
11. There will be lap swim from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
