Domestic violence awareness calendar
31 ways in 31 days
LIMA__October is nationally recognized as “Domestic Violence Awareness Month” (DVAM). Crossroads Crisis Center serves as Allen County's only domestic violence agency, and we will be promoting awareness with several displays and events throughout October.
All of the libraries in Allen County will have DVAM displays that will contain information on domestic violence and the different events that Crossroads will be holding.
Trees in the Town Square will be decorated with purple ribbons for the entirety of October to spread awareness.
The silhouette, commonly referred to as "Traveling Tracy", will be traveling to different locations throughout Lima including: The Grind, The Title Department, Allen County Health Department and many more locations.
Crossroads will be holding their Purple Sweets in Lima again. Local bakeries, sweet shops, and drink shops will be making something purple to sell for domestic violence awareness.
Please visit Crossroads' Facebook page to see the specific locations for Traveling Tracy and Purple Sweets. For further information regarding DVAM and the different events and awareness activities that Crossroads will be holding, please visit our Facebook page to see our October calendar or give us a call at 419-228-4357.
Crossroads looks forward to sharing DVAM with our local community and spreading awareness about domestic violence.
