April 2024 Bluffton Police Docket

The Bluffton, Ohio Police Department has released the following Police Docket for April 2024:
April 3
Officers arrested a Bluffton resident for Driving Under Suspension following a traffic stop for a registration violation in the area of Harmon Road near Poplar Street. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
Officers responded to the university for an Assault complaint.
Officers responded to the 400 block of County Line Road for a Burglary complaint. The tenant arrived home and noticed his door was open after he secured it earlier in the day. Officer’s made sure no one was inside the apartment and the tenant did not notice anything missing or out of the ordinary.
April 9
Officers responded to a dispute in the 200 block of North Lawn Avenue. After a brief investigation into the incident, all parties involved voluntarily separated for the night.

April 10
Officers responded to the 200 block of Garmatter Street for a barking dog complaint.
April 18
Officers responded to the 200 block of South Main Street in reference to a theft complaint. Officers investigated the theft of a motorized mobility device from the front porch of the property. After leaving the residence, officers located the motorized mobility device and detained the person responsible for taking it. It was determined that the Bluffton resident who stole the motorized mobility device had an active warrant and was subsequently arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Allen County Jail.
April 22
Officers responded to a theft of tools from a construction company working on Navajo Drive.
Officers arrested a Painesville, Ohio resident for driving while not possessing a valid driver's license in the area of South Main Street near College Avenue for a speeding violation in a school zone. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
Officers arrested a Lima, Ohio resident for driving while not possessing a valid driver's license in the area of Snider Road near Spring Street for a speeding violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
April 25
Officers received a telecommunications harassment complaint from a North Lawn Avenue resident.
April 30
Officers responded to the storage units on State Route 103 in reference to a theft of items out of a locked storage unit.
Officers responded to the 100 block of East College Avenue for a menacing complaint.
