Book signing and presention; registration requested
Author/adventurer Brandon Weis will recount his grueling 2021 “Triple Crown” hike along the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, Continental Divide Trail and the Arizona Trail at the Bluffton Public Library Tuesday, July 16 at 6 p.m.
His rugged year of hiking entailed carrying a 20-30 pound backpack for over 8,000 miles through both icy cold and scorching heat. On his hikes, he endured temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees, and as high as 111 degrees.
Weis persevered through frostbite, injury, exhaustion and more on his trek through some of America’s most beautiful landscapes and rugged terrain. He detailed his experiences in a book entitled “This is Gonna Hurt.”
The book will be available for purchase at the presentation. Cost is $30 for paperback, and $40 for the hardcover version. Cash only is accepted, and Weis will sign his book at the event.
The speech and signing, held in the BPL’s lower level, is open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please register in advance to reserve a seat for this event. Call the BPL at 419-358-5016.
