On October 1, Jason Cox became the new Bluffton State Farm Agent following Ed Reichenbach’s retirement. Reichenbach had been Bluffton’s first and only State Farm Agent, starting out of a home office on Mound Street in 1966.
The new agency will remain at the 341 S. Main location in Bluffton. Staffers Lori Loewen, Office Manager, and Kathie Amstutz, Customer Service Manager, will both be staying on with the new agency.
Jason is a Bluffton High School and Bluffton University graduate, and has lived in the Bluffton area since 1997. He notes, “I’m excited to get busy with the important work of helping individuals and businesses in the community protect what is important to them, and to invest in their future. I look forward to providing solutions to community members regardless of their background and financial situation. It is our agency’s mission to help all of our customers pursue financial freedom and relief from financial stress.” While the agency looks forward to supporting many causes and organizations in the community, the agency strives to especially support those caring for seniors and older adults in the community.
Jason, his wife Heather, have two boys, Cameron and Emerson. Jason is a 6th generation “Blufftonite” (through the Luginbuhl and Criblez families) and Heather (Carmack)’s family is of “Carma Theatre” fame – the predecessor to the current Shannon Theatre. “We look forward to contributing to the community that made us who we are,” says Cox.
