Information night for Apollo's Project | SEARCH
Wednesday, December 11, 5-7:00 p.m, Mercy Health in the Physicians Conference Room, Health Cafe
Project | SEARCH is a year-long program offered by Apollo Career Center. This program is tailored for students with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Its purpose is to provide both entry-level and more complex job experiences in a business environment. Project | SEARCH collaborates with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, Apollo Career Center, Mercy Health/St. Rita's Medical Center Employment Services, and local school districts.
Project SEARCH instruction and skills development focuses on competitive employment. The interns are expected to pursue employment as the goal to complete the program.
While at Project | SEARCH, interns will spend 90% of the day at unpaid job sites with fading skill training services leading to independence. The other 10% is classroom instruction. Throughout the school year, interns will have the chance to participate in three 10-week rotations within the business site.
For more information, please contact Leigh Taylor, Project | SEARCH instructor at 419.226.9724 or email at [email protected].
