MAY 27 MEDIA RELEASE__On Friday May 30, the Bluffton Shuffleboard Club will host the Steve and Cindy Slaughterback Memorial Shuffleboard Tournament. This is a state tournament with players coming from all over Ohio and Indiana.
In preparation for this tournament and this year's club play, the Village of Bluffton and the members of the club resurfaced the courts at the park by Buckeye Lake.
The process began on May 8 with the village workers sanding the old paint off down to the bare concrete. Then on May 15-16, they put on two coats of green stain. In the next ten days, the club members (stenciled) lined the courts, put on two coats of clear concrete sealer and then put on the wax, so the discs can glide smoothly down the courts.
We couldn't have done this without the help and cooperation from Jesse Blackburn and Bryan Lloyd from the Village of Bluffton and the hard working members of the shuffleboard club.
About the 2025 season
The Bluffton Shuffleboard Club plays every Monday and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Membership is $ 5.00 for the year.
