AUG 22 MEDIA RELEASE__Thanks to the Bike Ministry at St. John’s United Church of Christ, it is easier than ever for cyclists to keep their bikes in top shape with the installation of two new public bike repair stations in Bluffton.
The stations provide free, convenient access to tools and equipment for basic bike maintenance and repairs. The stations are located at
- Bluffton Lion’s Pathway Trailhead at the shelter house near Bluffton Inn and Suites on SR 103 (new)
- Bluffton University Nature Preserve entrance on Augsburger Road (new)
- Twisted Whisk Cafe, corner of Main and Cherry streets
- St John’s UCC, corner of Jackson St. and College Ave.
Each station includes an air pump and full set of commonly used tools, allowing cyclists to make quick adjustments or repairs while on the go. The bike can be placed on the stand while making repairs and a QR code provide additional information.
This brings the total number of public bike repair stations around Bluffton to four. The installation of the bike repair stations is part of an ongoing effort of St. John’s UCC Bike Ministry to improve cycling infrastructure and encourage active transportation throughout Bluffton.
