Crossroads Crisis Center domestic violence awareness campaign in October
MEDIA RELEASE__Crossroads Crisis Center is reminding the region that October is nationally recognized as "Domestic Violence Awareness Month” (DVAM).
Crossroads Crisis Center serves as Allen County's only domestic violence agency and will be promoting awareness with several displays and events throughout October. You can pick up October calendars at all of the local libraries in Allen County as well as see DVAM display at the Lima Public Library.
Trees in the Lima town square will be decorated with purple ribbons for the entirety of October to spread awareness. The silhouette commonly referred to as "Traveling Tracy" will be located at Rhodes State College in their Student Lounge. Crossroads will be holding their Purple Sweets displays in Lima again. Local bakeries, sweet shops, and drink shops will be making something purple to sell for domestic violence awareness.
Please visit the Crossroads Facebook page to see the specific locations for Purple Sweets. For further information regarding DVAM and the different events, activities, and displays that Crossroads will be holding, please visit our Facebook page to see our October calendar or give us a call at 419-228-4357. Crossroads looks forward to sharing DVAM with our local community and spreading awareness about domestic violence.
