David Lee Wilson worked at Tower Automotive
David Lee Wilson, 74, passed away on May 16, 2026 at his residence. David was born on October 19, 1951, in Washington, Iowa to the late Lloyd and Marveline (Bence) Wilson. On February 8, 1973, he married Nancy (Scheeler) Wilson and she survives.
David served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. He was a quality engineer retiring from PPG-Lima and had worked for 25 years at Tower Automotive in Bluffton. After retirement, he spent time mowing at the Bluffton Golf Club. David was a member of Lima Missionary Baptist and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Club #370 in Lima. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wilson of Bluffton; three children, Tracey (Shawn) Jordan of Bluffton, Jaci (Rob) Kayser of Lafayette, Brent (Jenny) Wilson of Bluffton; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Marveline Wilson and a sister, Nan Grimes.
David's service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton. Pastor Cooper Roberts officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
