Ellerbrock receives BVHS Auxiliary scholarship in honor of Marty Lemley

MEDIA RELEASE_ The BVHS Auxiliary awarded a $1,000 scholarship in memory of dedicated local volunteer Marty Lemley to Isabella Ellerbrock, a 2026 graduate of Bluffton High School. Ellerbrock will attend Ohio University to pursue a degree in nursing.

The Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) Auxiliary also awarded 10 $1,000 scholarships to students from Hancock County and surrounding areas pursuing careers in healthcare.

The 2026 BVHS Auxiliary scholarship recipients include: Jaylin Patterson (Cory-Rawson High School), who will attend Ohio Northern University; Neeti Barot (Findlay High School), who will attend The Ohio State University; Ava Beuschlein (Van Buren High School), who will attend Grand Valley State University; Benjamin Gonda (Liberty-Benton High School), who will attend The University of Toledo; Paige Griffith (Findlay High School), who will attend The Ohio State University; Addison Kennedy (Arcadia High School), who will attend The Ohio State University; Finn Martin (Van Buren High School), who will attend The University of Toledo; Natalee Powell (Van Buren High School), who will attend The University of Toledo; Darcy Schedel (Findlay High School), who will attend Owens Community College; and Preston Xayasy (Liberty-Benton High School), who will attend Ohio University.

Funding for these scholarships is made possible through annual membership dues contributed by Auxiliary members.

“These scholarships represent an investment not only in students, but in the future of healthcare in our communities,” said Ben Sapp, chief development officer of the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation. “We are proud to support these individuals as they pursue meaningful careers that will make a lasting impact on the lives of others.”
