6:00 p.m. at the 1899 Depot, 405 N. Spring St.
Declaration of Independence Transcript
The Declaration of Independence was first read in public on July 8, 1776. On July 8, 2026, organizations across the country, including the Bluffton Ohio Historical Society, will host a simultaneous reading of this foundational American document.
The Bluffton reading will take place at the 1899 Depot, which was saved and moved to its current location by the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club. The historical society is now the caretaker of the historic building, which also provides meeting space for Bluffton American Legion Post #382, Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256 and the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club.
The Bluffton Ohio Historical Society will host its regular monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
