Bluffton veterans group presents donations to 12 organizations

Fred Arnold Memorial Charitable Golf Outing

Over 12 years, the Bluffton American Legion Post has raised more than $80,000 to support local nonprofit organizations. This past week, the veterans' group held a ceremony to present 2026 funds to 12 recipients with the following representatives:

  • Bluffton Scout Troop 256, Brad Taylor
  • Bluffton Food Pantry (Community Assistance Corp.), David Campbell
  • Bluffton Diamond Sports, Nathan Davis
  • Bluffton Scrap Artist Quilters, Pat Rodabaugh
  • Bluffton Family YMCA, Amy Byers
  • Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, Amanda Sizemore
  • American Legion Operation Comfort Warrior, Dept of Ohio American Legion Commander Gary Cox
  • Veterans Food Pantry of NW Ohio, Betsy Potts
  • Children's Developmental Center, Elisha Reineke
  • Flag City Honor Flight, Will Miller
  • Bittersweet at Betty's Farm, Jerry Hunt
  • Department of Ohio Gift for Yanks, Dept of Ohio American Legion Commander Gary Cox

The funds were raised by the annual Fred Arnold Memorial Charitable Golf Outing. Members of the golf committee, Sam Reineke, Tom Benroth, Fred Rodabaugh and Dennis Morrison joined Post Commander Kurt Emans in the presentation.
