LIMA__The visiting Bluffton High School girls tennis team defeated Bath 4-1 in a makeup match on Wednesday, August 19.

Bluffton improved to 3-1 with the decisive victory. All five matches were decided in straight sets.

Freshman Hope Luginbill won at second singles over sophomore Elizabeth Rope 6-3, 7-5.

Sophomore Leah Hoffman defeated junior Jordan Taylor 6-1, 6-0.

Bluffton swept both doubles matches handily.

Senior Kate Klinger and senior Ari Bowling rolled over Kloe Kunkleman and Bri Downey by a 6-2, 6-0 count.

Junior Peighton Bowers and sophomore Hailey Utendorf cruised in two sets over Kyle Chang and Jackie Alva 6-2, 6-1.

Senior Willow Angel lost at first singles to Bath junior Gianna Marfo 6-0, 6-2. 

Bluffton plays its next match at home Tuesday, August 25 vs St Marys. Wapakoneta visits the Pirates on Aug. 26.
