Restaurants draw a crowd to 2nd annual Taste of Bluffton
By Paula Pyzik Scott
With the lively atmosphere of an extra-large summer block party, the 2nd annual Taste of Bluffton was celebrated on Saturday, August 22, in the Citizens National Bank parking lot. Bluffton restaurants and food vendors provided a tasty array of snacks and entrees for $5 and $10. Games, activities, live music and DJ Deron Martin added to the party atmosphere.
Long lines stretched out for a taste of breakfast--or "brinner"--foods, tacos, beer cheese and pretzels, boba drinks, ice cream, wraps, salads, and more.
Yard games, beading, crafts and face painting added to the fun.
A large array of tables and chairs in the middle of the parking lot made room to relax and enjoy conversation with family, friends and neighbors.
Coordinated by the First Mennonite Church FUN committee, the event was supported by the presence of Bluffton Baking Co., Bluffton University, Cinnamon and the Bandit, Cottage Art Haus LLC, Kira's Flipside Grill, Bluffton Dari Freeze, Campito Lindo, Langan Family Finds, Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Company, Twisted Whisk Cafe and World Goods Et Cetera.
The Bluffton University Men's Soccer Team helped with set up and tear down.
