Local and regional performers are preparing for Bluffton's Play Music on the Porch Day (a.k.a. PorchFest) on August 29. This worldwide movement encourages people to spend the day outdoors, visiting with neighbors while playing or listening to music.
For a complete lineup and a map of where the bands will be playing, visit the event Facebook page.
LeBlanc Zepplin
New to PorchFest this year is the band LeBlanc Zepplin. The six-member band includes: Heath LeBlanc, bassist; Todd France, lead singer and guitarist; Corbin Hibler, drummer; Mason Greeawalt, lead/rhythm guitarist; Ben Garcia, rhythm guitarist and Craig Murray, lead/rhythm guitarist. While everyone plays at ONU, Heath plays in the worship band at Crossroads Church of God in Lima, and Craig has decades of experience playing in a variety of bands.
CAWZ!
What started out as childhood friendships turned into the newly formed rock band, The CAWZ! This is their first year at Bluffton’s PorchFest and they are traveling from St. Mary’s, Ohio. The band has a passion for all types of music and is excited to work on creating new songs and release a future album. They have performed at other venues such as Rhythm & Brews open mic night in Wapakoneta.
Marlena Rock
While this emerging young artist is playing at Bluffton’s PorchFest for the first time, she is not new to the music scene. Marlena Rock has a debut album out on all music streaming platforms and has been performing and recording for four years. She specializes in folk, acoustic, and songwriter genres and comes from the Findlay area.
