Carol Jean Bucher, 92, passed away September 18, 2026 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Carol Jean was born June 9, 1934 in Hancock County, Ohio to the late Dwight and Lucille (Badertscher) Frantz. On April 22, 1955 she married Richard Bucher who preceded her in death on July 20, 2022. 

Carol Jean graduated from Cory-Rawson High School. She had worked at Cory-Rawson schools and was a homemaker and farm wife. Carol Jean was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton. She always helped with different committees at the church and the Cory-Rawson Music Boosters at the Hancock County Fair. Carol Jean loved her horses and being outdoors. 

Survivors include four sons, Rick Bucher of Oxford, Ohio, Larry (Becky) Bucher of Mt. Cory, Timothy (Diana) Bucher of Findlay, Mark (Malinda) Bucher of New London, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Bradley Bucher, Ashley (Jeff) Scoles, Kate (Darrell) Byrd, Byron (Andrea) Bucher, Sarah (Rob) Davis, Alise (Jason) Krempa, Brittany (Zeke) Flegel, Nathaneal Bell-Pactat, Brennyn Bell-Bucher; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Spaeth of Arizona and a sister-in-law, Raeleen Greenawalt of Findlay.

Carol Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Lucille Frantz and her husband, Richard Bucher. 

Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Pleasant View Cemetery, 300 Township Road 37, Bluffton, Ohio, with Pastor Jeremy Mann officiating.
