Charles “Chuck” Wendall Collins, 63, owned Eagle Press Repairs
Charles “Chuck” Wendall Collins of Adrian, Michigan, passed away at the age of 63 on October 11, 2026, in the hills of West Virginia during his last hunt. He was born on July 1, 1963, at Sutton General in Sutton, West Virginia, to Charlie and Patty Collins. He married Debra Collins on May 17, 1986, in Dearborn, Michigan, and together they raised six children—one daughter and five sons—in Michigan.
Chuck was a strong and gifted man who loved the Lord, his wife, Deb, his family, and his friends deeply. His first thought was how he could help others, and he would give the shirt off his back if he knew it was what someone needed. Chuck extended grace to others because he recognized his own need for God’s grace. Many times, he reached out to those who might otherwise have gone unnoticed. At the time of his passing, he was attending Spoken Word Tabernacle in Sheffield, Ohio, Pastor Samuel Browning.
Chuck’s lifelong career was running his successful printing press repair company, Eagle Press Repairs. While doing repairs and rigging, he traveled to many states and countries and met people from many different walks of life.
An avid outdoorsman, Chuck found an outlet from life’s pressures in hunting, and his West Virginia cabin was his escape. One of his favorite things was taking family and friends along on hunts so they could bring home trophies of their own.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Deb Collins; his daughter, Courtney (Earl) Horst; and his sons, Joshua (Megan) Collins, Caleb (KatieAnn) Collins, Abraham (Leah) Collins, and Benjamin (Esther) Collins. He is also survived by his parents, Charlie and Patty Collins; his siblings,
Trish (Ed) Legg, Eddie Collins, Mark (Pam) Collins, Katie Zavora, John (Karen) Collins, and Nikki (Joe) Adkins; and many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren are Samuel, Faithanne, Grace, Judah, and Naomi Horst; Riley, EllieAnna, and Dawson Collins; and Enoch and Victoria Collins.
Chuck was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Emma Collins; his maternal grandparents, Nobel and Darlene Ward; his sister, Ina Collins; his father-in-law, Charles W. Schwartz; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Schwartz; his son, Charlie Collins; and his daughters-in-law, Rachel Collins and Elisabeth Collins.
A private burial will take place on October 23, 2026, with immediate family.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Believer’s Christian Fellowship, 1695 Stewart Road, Lima. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. – until time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the Collins family requests that memorial donations be made through True Word Tabernacle, either by PayPal or by check payable to the church. Please indicate that the donation is for the Chuck Collins Memorial Fund. The PayPal account is [email protected].
Your love and prayers are greatly appreciated during this time.
