Three local singer-songwriters will be featured in a concert Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at the Bluffton town hall.

Sam Stucky graduates May 8 from Bluffton University, with majors in math and music. He has been writing songs since his sophomore year of high school, performed with a band called The Luna Program, and several at the Contemporary Music Center in Nashville, TN. 

Jeff Brassell, a Lima native raised in Bluffton, is a singer-songwriter who reflects everyday life in his music.

The Quarry Farm Nature Preserve & Conservation Farm is holding an annual Family Day on Saturday, April 30, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Bring yourself, friends and family for an afternoon open house of fun in the gardens, woods, and wetlands. A representative from Black Swamp Raptor Rehabilitation Center, Pandora, will be onsite with several birds of prey.

The art students from Krysti's Music Studio, Bluffton, will exhibit their works this week, according to Krysti Schey.

"You can come and go as you like to view the student's work. It is Thursday, April 28, from 7-8 p.m. in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall.

Heated Vehicle Storage, 906 N. Main St. (next to Masterpiece Signs), will again host a monthly Bluffton Cars and Coffee this summer and fall, according to Tim Boutwell.

The event is an “informal gathering for enthusiasts and their cars.” The monthly cars and coffee event starts in May and continues through October. It is always held on the fourth Saturday of the month.

Each event is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays: May 28, June 25, July 23, Aug. 27, Sept. 24 and Oct. 22.

A Medication Disposal Day will be held from in Ada from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, in the parking lot between Rite Aid and Northern on Main.

Those who want to dispose of expired or unused prescriptions as well as over-the-counter medications may give them to law enforcement officers at that time. 

The meds will be disposed of in a safe, legal, and environmentally conscious way.

Jim Boedicker, local musician, will perform several times in Bluffton this summer.

He will perform at the Bluffton Farmers' Market on May 21, June 25, July 23, Aug. 13 and Sept. 24.

In addition, he will perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at the Bluffton swimming pool area during the Ride to Remember bike ride. His performances in Bluffton are sponsored by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.
