Bluffton Hospital associates are participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and have formed a team known as The Bluffton Cancer Crushers.
To raise money for this cause, the team is holding a basket raffle. Several baskets are on display in the front lobby of the Bluffton Hospital from June 11 to June 18.
Participants in the raffle may purchase a ticket and place it in the jar of the basket of their choice. Ticket are: $1 for 1, $5 for six, and $10 for an arms length.
County fair dates for 2012 are now set. Area fairs follow:
Paulding County - June 11 to 16
Allen County - Aug. 17-25
Putnam County - June 18-23
Hancock County - Aug. 29-Sept. 3
Van Wert County - Aug. 28-Sept. 4
Hardin County - Sept. 5-9

Mennofolk is returning to Bluffton after several years of absence. It will include three stages of acoustic music over a span of two days according to Wendy Chappell-Dick, director of the event.
"It is definitely an awesome festival," she said. "These bands are really good and I don't know any other venue in northwest Ohio that can pull in bands like this."
Bluffton Lions present the 45th Bluffton Festival of Wheels Cruise-In, Friday, June 15.
The event takes place in downtown Bluffton from 2 to 8 p.m. Jeff Houston, 1950s DJ will play music from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The Flag City Cloggers will perform from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and the Night Jazz Swing Band will perform on the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn from 6 to 8 p.m.
Several Bluffton downtown businesses will hold sidewalk sales all afternoon.

ArtSpace/Lima will mount the special exhibit, Hand-Pulled: Ohio Printmakers opening on Saturday, June 16, 2012, with a public reception for the artists and their friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Ellen Nelson Gallery.
Hand-Pulled: Ohio Printmakers entries were solicited from any Ohio artist working in traditional print-making media. The show, which includes 32 works by 18 printmakers, will feature a wide variety of print media, including intaglio, wood, linoleum, and plastic reliefs, lithographs, silk-screen prints, collographs, and monoprints.
