BLUFFTON - The visiting Ada volleyball team took the opening game but lost a tough four-setter at local rival Bluffton in Northwest Conference action Thursday night.
Bluffton improved to 8-2 and 2-0 in league play with their sixth consecutive victory.
The 23-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-16 defeat lowered the Lady Bulldog record to 5-4 overall and 0-2 in the NWC.
This is the second in a series of team photos from Bluffton schools representing fall 2020.

COLUMBUS GROVE - The visiting Bluffton girls soccer team defeated Columbus Grove 4-1 Thursday evening in a Northwest Conference showdown of unbeatens.
Bluffton improved to 5-2-1 overall and sit atop the NWC at 4-0 after their fourth straight victory. CG fell to 5-4 and 3-1 in league play after losing the first-place league battle.
Regan Mittendorf scored first in the 21st minute, follwed by a score from Allison Diller two minutes later.

BLUFFTON - The host Bluffton boys soccer team defeated non-league foe Kenton 2-0 Thursday night at Steinmetz Field.
The Pirates improved to 6-0-1 this season with the shutout win.
The game was scoreless until just before halftime. Kaden Basil netted a goal in the 39th minute to give the Pirates a 1-0 lead at intermission.
Teammate Jude Spallinger then gave Bluffton a little breathing room with the second goal in the 63rd minute.
Pirate senior Jonathan Schriner registered one assist.

VAN WERT - The Bluffton girls golf team competed in the four-team Northwest Conference tournament Tuesday at Willow Bend Country Club in Van Wert.
Delphos Jefferson won the NWC crown for the third straight season with a total score of 187 strokes.
Lincolnview finished second (203), followed by Crestview (256) and Bluffton (262).
Lancer Winter Boroff was tournament medalist with a score of 39.
