The spillover from game one didn't take long to boil over in game two of the Detroit- Nashville NHL playoff series. Just a minute and a half into the game Todd Bertuzzi engaged Shea Weber and soon enough the two were throwing punches at one another.

Tuesday, April 10 was a tough weather day for the track and field athletes of Bluffton and Pandora-Gilboa High Schools. Temperatures that hovered around 40 degrees with 15 mile per hour winds made the going tough for both sides at the Bluffton University track, where the Pirates were able to earn victories on both the boy's and girl's side.

Leading the Pirates on the girl's side on the track was Hannah Chappell-Dick, Jill Steinmeitz, and Delaney Reinecke, with all of them winning two events.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association will be adding a seventh tournament division in football beginning in 2013, Commissioner Daniel B. Ross has announced. The addition of a seventh division was approved by the OHSAA's Board of Directors by a 6 to 3 vote during its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday.

The plan will place the top 10 percent of schools based on enrollment in Division I, with the remaining 644 schools divided evenly among the next six divisions. This will leave 72 schools in Division I with the other six divisions averaging approximately 108 schools.

The Detroit Red Wings began their playoff journey Wednesday night in Nashville against the Predators. The result was not a favorable one for Wings fans as they went down by a game in the series with a 3-2 loss.

Paul Gaustad opened up the scoring in the first period in an extremely lucky fashion. The Predators forward collected the puck behind the net, skated into the corner and simply shot it in front of the net.
