All-HCAC release  The Bluffton University volleyball team capped off another outstanding season with two First Team All-Heartland Conference honorees in 2017. Juniors Bethany Martini (Pickerington/North) and Erin Weisgarber (Bolivar/Tuscarawas Valley) were honored by the coaches after leading Bluffton to a fifth straight HCAC tournament semi-final appearance. Senior Sydney Mohler (Lima/Central Catholic) secured Honorable Mention All-HCAC following her fourth season as Bluffton's starting libero.

University nutrition students preparing food; SERVE students are servers

The Bluffton University Nutrition Association (BUNA) will hold its annual Harvest Dinner, benefiting the Bluffton Community Assistance Corporation and the Churches United Pantry in Lima, from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at the Bluffton Middle School cafeteria, 102 S. Jackson St., Bluffton.

All-HCAC release

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University defender Brittany Huff (Union/Northmont) was named Second Team All-Heartland Conference for her work on the pitch in 2017. Securing honorable mention acclaim was junior Skylar Liming (St Marys/Memorial). They were both recognized when the HCAC announced its top players this season as voted on by all of the head coaches.

Image consultant to share tips with Bluffton students

Robin Reeves, founder and director of Reeves Etiquette and Image Consulting, will present the Forum, “Professional Manners 101: How to Make a Great Impression," at 11 a.m. on Nov. 21 in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
 
During Forum, Reeves will demonstrate how students can elevate their professional brand through body language, conversation skills and appropriate dining etiquette.

Bluffton University will host an author program for Kevin Williams, director of residence life, at 4 p.m. on Nov. 9 in the Musselman Library Reading Room. Williams contributed a chapter to the book, “Diversity Matters: Race, Ethnicity and the Future of Christian Higher Education,” called “Potholes on the Professional Journey of a Developing Leader.”
 
Williams joined the Bluffton University staff earlier this year after serving as assistant director of residence life at Messiah College. He also spent seven years working as an admissions counselor for Malone College.
 

Bluffton University will host a Thursdays at Yoder concert featuring music faculty members Dr. Andrew Liebermann and Stephanie Titus at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, in Yoder Recital Hall.

During the concert, the Liebermann-Titus Duo will introduce 20th and 21st century compositions for piano and saxophone that push the boundaries of what one traditionally expects to hear from these instruments. Most of the works presented are by living composers and some are rarely played due to their extreme difficulty.

This event is free and open to the public.
