121st performance in Founders Hall

Bluffton University’s music department has announced the soloists for its 121st performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in Founders Hall.

Soloists are Leah Crane, soprano; Mitzi Westra, mezzo-soprano; Joseph Purifoy, tenor; and Mark Gilgallon, baritone. All four performers live in the Indianapolis area.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's basketball team equaled its best start since 2011-12 when the Beavers hounded Kalamazoo College in a 68-54 victory on Wednesday, Nov. 30. Kalamazoo slipped to 2-3 on the season, while the Beavers stayed perfect at 5-0 heading into Heartland Conference action at Transylvania on Saturday.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women’s basketball team welcomed the OSU-Lima Barons for their home opener on Monday, Nov. 28. The Beavers jumped out quickly and never slowed down as they marched to a 94-61 victory for a 4-0 start to the season while OSU-Lima dropped to 2-2.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Bluffton University men's basketball team lit up the scoreboard in a 102-100 victory at Rhodes College (2-2) on Saturday, Nov. 26. It marks the first 3-0 start for the Beavers since the 2011-12 squad rolled off a 5-0 mark to open the season!

University Camerata Singers and University Chorale performs

Bluffton University’s Camerata Singers and University Chorale will headline “A Festival of Lessons and Carols,” the university’s Christmas choral concert, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, in Yoder Recital Hall.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens. They are available online, at http://tickets.bluffton.edu, or in person at the Marbeck Center information desk.

TIFFIN, Ohio - Three games away from the Sommer Center to start the season no problem for the Bluffton University women's basketball team as the Beavers downed host Heidelberg University 70-64 for a 3-0 mark. The Student Princes fought to the end, but fell to 1-2 with the loss.
