Thomas & Marker Construction, the general contractor for Bluffton University’s new Sommer Center for Health and Fitness Education, has been awarded for its work on the project.
The Ohio Valley Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors recently recognized Thomas & Marker’s efforts on the Sommer Center with its highest honor for excellence in construction, the Eagle Award.
Three Bluffton University accounting students have won a scholarship that will enable them to study for and take the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam at no cost.
Receiving the CMA Scholarship recently from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) were seniors John Oyer of Hesston, Kan., and Brandi Dominique of Wauseon, Ohio, along with junior Jonathan Fowler of Cincinnati. All three students are majoring in accounting and business administration.
The Bluffton University track and field program ended their season this weekend at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field championships held on the campus of Manchester University.
The Beavers finished the day in 7th place on the women’s side with only 10 women and 8th place on the men’s side with 17 men competing. The Beavers also set two new school records on the day.
