BFR summer calendar full of events for all ages - register now

BFR Tball Registration Underway

Summer Tee Ball registration is open until June 28. Boys who will be ages 5 or 6 and girls who will be ages 5, 6 or 7 by June 1 are welcome to register. BFR Tee Ball will be held at the Bluffton Village Park on
Tuesday and Thursday nights beginning July 5 and continuing to August 2.
Cost per child is $30 ($15 BFR member) and includes a team t-shirt.

Rookie Sports Camp Scheduled for Younger Athletes
A three day multi-sport camp will be presented by BFR on June 11, 12, and 13 (10am-noon). Open to boys and girls ages 4, 5 or 6 years, the Rookie Sport Camp will feature time learning about badminton, cycling,
basketball, tennis, soccer and dodgeball/handball. Two sports will be
introduced each day, with crafts, snack and games included too. Camp
leader will be J. J. Johnson, a popular instructor of many BFR sport
classes.
Cost is $40 ($25 BFR member); extended registration deadline
will be June 8.

Six Sessions of Adventure Camp Available this Summer
Pre-schoolers can choose from six different themed, mini camps this summer through BFR. Kelly Honse will lead the Thursday morning sessions (June 14, 21, 28, July 19, 26, Aug. 2). Themes vary from RhymeTime, Pirates, and Sports. Sessions meet from 9-10:30 am each day. Price per session is $12 ($8 BFR member) or register for all 6 sessions for $60 ($40 BFR member).

Conditioning Programs Offered by BFR for Youth and Adults
Middle and High School students (those completing 6th -12th grades) are encouraged to register for an EDGE summer camp. Staff trainer, Keri Hilty will lead the EDGE summer programs.

The High School Weight Training camp will run June 18 to 22 from 10am-noon. Over the 5-day camp, participants will learn weight room safety, including proper forms of lifts and etiquette. Each participant will learn how to design their own training program under the direction of a BFR staff trainer.
Cost for the High School camp is $125 ($60 BFR member).

Middle School students can participate in a 3 day camp (June 18, 20, 22 from 12:30 pm-2pm) to learn about off-season conditioning plus develop agility and bodyweight strength training. At the camp's end, each participant will receive an individual workout plan.

Cost for the Middle School camp is $50 ($25 BFR member). Guaranteed Registration for both programs will end on June 14. Contact BFR 419-358-4150 or visit the website www.bfronline.com for more information.

BFR will offer 2 levels of the Summer Running Program.
One level (Walk to Run) will work with beginning runners to complete a 5K in eight weeks. The other level (Improve your Speed) will help individuals who can complete a 5K race but wish to increase their speed! Warm-up, interval training of walking and jogging, and stretches will be included in each group session.

Groups will meet either in the morning (8:30 or 9am) or the evening (7PM), two days a week from July 9 to August 31. Cost is $35 ($20 BFR members).

Max out your fitness routine with BFR's Ultimate Fit program this summer.
Ultimate Fit is a high intensity group workout program that is directed by BFR staff trainers. Each workout session includes a variety of exercises including body resistance and weights, plus lots of dynamic training techniques. Over the summer months, Ultimate sessions are available Monday through Thursday nights at 6PM. Participants can register for 2, 3 or 4 nights. Ultimate Fit is packaged by the month, with 8, 12 or 16 session packages available. Monthly sessions will begin June 4, July 9 and Aug. 6.

Youth Tennis Summer Options
BFR will offer traditional tennis lessons, a youth summer camp and
Quickstart Tennis during the summer session. June 20,21,22 are the dates for the Beginner Tennis Camp to be held at the BHS outdoor courts. Youth completing grades 1 to 4 are welcome to register. The Camp will meet from 10am-11;30 and will include overview of forehand, backhand and net block strokes.

Cost for the camp is $45 ($30 BFR members); registration deadline is June 15.

New tennis players, as well as continuing students, can also register for the traditional lessons to be held on Tuesdays (June 26, July 3, 17, 24, 31, Aug. 7) . The beginner classes meet for 45 minutes a week to work on stroke development. Quickstart Tennis combines modified court play with a variety of hand-eye activities to introduce tennis skills. Quickstart will be held on Monday nights from 6-7 pm beginning June 25 and ending July 30. Cost for Quickstart is $40 ($25 BFR members); deadline to register will be June 19.
