Here's the November Bluffton police report

Nov. 1

  • Police responded to a car deer traffic crash at the intersection of SR 103 and SR 235.
  • A Jackson St. Resident reported that her 19 year old daughter was missing.  After looking into the matter officers were able to speak with the daughter on the telephone and found her to be ok.  

Nov. 3

  • The owner of a SR 103 Business reported having problems getting property returned by a former manager.
  • Police arrested Kevin Dew, 32, Lima for DUS following a traffic stop on I-75 for a license violation.  The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.   

Nov. 4

  • Police responded to a N. Main St. Residence in response to well being check for a reported mental health issue. 

Nov. 5

  •  Police investigated a reported burglary at a College Ave. Residence.   

Nov. 7

  • A College Ave Resident reported unknown persons had caused damage to their vehicle. 
  • Police responded to a Richland Dr. Residence in response to an unruly juvenile. 

Nov. 8

  • A W. Elm St. Resident reported that his young daughter was being harassed by a 19 year old male while online. 
  • Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the 400 block of Greiding St.  Richard Williams Basinger, 16, Bluffton was cited for a Reasonable Control violation and the case is pending in Allen County Juvenile Court. 
  • Police responded to an injury traffic crash at the intersection of Grove and Kibler Streets.  Kaylee Shoopman, 22, Columbus Grove was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.  The case is pending in Bluffton Mayor’s Court. 

Nov. 9

  • A Columbus Grove Resident reported that her son was assaulted while riding on the school bus.  

Nov. 10

  • Police responded to a N. Main St. Business in regards to a female furnishing an alcoholic beverage to an underage person.  Officers arrested Tina Maharath, 21, Columbus for Furnishing alcohol to an underage person.  Officers also arrested Sandy Phommaseng, 19, Columbus for Underage Consumption.  Both cases are pending in Lima Municipal Court.   

Nov. 11

  • Police arrested Terence Clayton, 26, Napoleon for OVI following a traffic stop on N. Main St. for driving the wrong way on a one way street.  The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court. 
  • Police responded to the 10000 Block of Grove Bluffton Rd in response to a car deer traffic crash. 
  • Police responded to a car deer traffic crash in the 9000 block of N. Dixie Hwy. 

Nov. 13

  • Police responded to the 11000 block of N. Bentley Rd in response to a car deer traffic crash. 

Nov. 15

  • An E. College Ave Resident reported someone had stolen her credit card number and made unauthorized purchases.
  • Police responded to a hit-skip traffic crash in the 200 block of N. Main St. 
  • Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the 200 block of Garmatter St.  Sharon Faurot, 38, Bluffton was cited for Rules for Starting and Backing and the case is pending in Bluffton Mayor’s Court.    

Nov. 16

  • A Quarry Dr. Business filed a Breaking and Entering complaint.
  • Officers arrested Melanie Fletcher, 39, Bluffton for DUS following a traffic stop on SR 103 for an equipment violation.  The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
  • Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the 400 block of SR 103.  Jennifer Brinkman, 41, Harrod was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way and the case is pending in Bluffton Mayor’s Court. 

Nov. 17

  • Police arrested Frank Prystash, 45, Lyons for DUS following a traffic stop on I-75 for a speeding violation.  The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court. 
  • Police arrested Alan Chester, 33, Findlay for DUS following a traffic stop on N. Main St. for an equipment violation.  The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.        

Nov.  20

  • Police responded to the University in response to an assault complaint.  
  • Officers responded to an injury traffic crash in the 400 block of SR 103.  Jaron Welty, 18, Findlay was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
  • Officers responded to the 100 Block of Susan Dr. in response to a hit-skip traffic crash.     

Nov.  21

  • Police responded to a SR 103 Business in response to an assault that happened during a child custody exchange.   
  • Police responded to a Riley Creek Court Residence in regards to a reported stolen vehicle.  During this complaint an elderly neighbor was reported missing.  The vehicle and the missing person were later located on Bentley Rd. 

Nov.  23

  • Police responded to the University in regards to a sick raccoon on the campus.  The raccoon was dispatched and removed from the property.       

Nov.  27

  • Police responded to a car deer traffic crash in the 8000 block of Grove Bluffton Rd.   

Nov.  30

  • A S. Main St. Resident reported personal items were stolen while at Bluffton Hospital.
