Bluffton Diamond Sports raised over $3,000 in a raffle this spring, according to Erinn Prater, organization president.

"There are a lot of expenses in running this organization for over 150 children, which includes everything from league fees for each team, paying umpires at the junior high level, buying the hats/visors the children get to keep, new balls for home games, purchasing sand and stone for the park, paying for field maintenance, to equipment (bats, helmets, catchers’ equipment) and uniforms," Prater told The Icon when the raffle was announced in April.
