Men's soccer: Earlham squeaks by 1-0

The Bluffton University men's soccer team traveled to Earlham College on Saturday, Oct. 12, for a Heartland Conference match with the Quakers, falling by a score of 1-0. The Beavers battled through a scoreless first half before allowing an early second period goal which was all the Quakers needed in their shutout victory.
It didn't take long for Earlham to break the scoreless tie in the second half, netting their lone score on a header by MUSSA IBRAHIM, his first of the season. Bluffton was unable to answer as the Quakers held on for the victory in a match that was marred by eight yellow cards.
GRANT STUTZMAN (Sugarcreek/Hiland), ADRIAN RAMIREZ (Archbold) and BLAKE DREWES (Archbold) each tallied one shot for Bluffton on the day. Sophomore keeper Chris Wagler (Leipsic/Pandora-Gilboa) collected five saves in his second start of the season.
