Gospel choir to perform April 5

The Bluffton University Gospel Choir will present an April 5 concert with music incorporating themes of Easter and the university’s 2013-14 civic engagement theme of “Race and Ethnicity in America.”

Beginning at 6 p.m. in Yoder Recital Hall, the Saturday evening concert is free and open to the public.

Dr. Crystal Sellers Battle, an assistant professor of music and Bluffton’s Civic Engagement Scholar this year, directs the choir. The concert will highlight senior members through solos and introduction of choir numbers. Wesley Sellers and Tony Johnson, both from Columbus, Ohio, will provide accompaniment, as they have since the choir’s first concert four years ago.
