"A Night at the Museum" includes international display and famous people at Middle School April 1 - you are invited

Sixth and seventh graders at Bluffton Middle School have been working on a cross-curricular research project that will culminate in a fun evening of students presenting their findings to their families and community, according to Jackie Bourassa, teacher.

She told the Icon: "The standards for both Language Arts and Social Studies require students to conduct a research project, gather relevant information from multiple sources, present information in a formal style and share it with an audience.

'Sixth grade students have been researching a country of their choice, and seventh graders have been researching the life of a famous person in history."

She added that students have been gathering information and creating visual displays since January. The project will culminate with our "Night at the Museum," Wednesday, April 1 from 6-7 p.m. in the middle school gymnasium.

For that evening, students will display their findings for their parents, families and the Bluffton community.

Sixth graders will have souvenirs, food and other visual displays representing their country.

Seventh graders will dress and portray themselves as their famous person. They will introduce themselves and share interesting facts about their life with visitors. All are welcome to attend this fun, educational evening.
