The Swiss Community Historical Society opened its Schumacher Homestead to the public on Sept. 26. The event offered a glimpse of farm life in rural Bluffton-Pandora.
In addition Maple Crest gathered an impressive collection of antique farm equipment. Added to the mix was an old-fashioned wheat threshing demonstration.
And, there were quilts on exhibit, music, kid's games, food, bread-baking, animals to touch, apple butter cooking on a wood fire and other old-fashion things to admire.
Here's a sampling of photos from events at Maple Crest and the Swiss homestead.
