Julia Luginbill served Ebenezer Mennonite as choir director for 15 years

Julia A. Luginbill, 83, of Columbus Grove died March 31, 2016, at 12:50 a.m. at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.  Julia was born July 16, 1932, in Lima to the late Floyd and Margaret Griffith Sandy. On Oct. 25, 1953, she married Kenneth Luginbill and he preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 2002.
 
Julia was office manager at Lima Internal Medicine. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton, where she had served as choir director for 15 years.  She had also been choir director at Columbus Grove Christian Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Columbus Grove High School where she was homecoming queen. 
 
Survivors include four sons, Greg (Sue) Luginbill of Pandora, Gary (Laura) Luginbill of Ottawa, Don Luginbill and Dwight Luginbill both of Columbus Grove, a daughter, Sandy (Richard) Dulebohn of Lima, 12 grandchildren, Kristen (Paul) Camacho,  Julie (Mark) Rieman,  Michelle (Eric) Brough,  Dan (Candice) Luginbill,  Austin Luginbill,  Cody Luginbill,  Devin Luginbill,  Faith  Luginbill,  David Karhoff, Lisa (Tyler) Paugh and Emily Karhoff, a sister, Jeanette Wood of Lima and a brother, Glen Sandy of Gomer.

Julia was preceded in death by a grandson, Brice Luginbill and two brothers, Ed and Kenneth Sandy.
 
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Pastors Jim King and Dick Potter will officiate.  Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery, Bluffton.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Mennonite Church or Hilty Memorial Home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com
