Manager of Ottawa McDonald's receives global award

Jenny Sumption, Manager of the McDonald’s Restaurant in Ottawa, has won a Ray Kroc Award, an accolade that recognizes the top performing McDonald's restaurant managers globally.

Sumption was one of 340 McDonald’s Managers around the world, representing the top one percent, to receive the honor, which includes a cash prize and a trophy.

Sumption, who has been working for McDonald’s for 24 years, was awarded her prize on April 13, 2016 at the Ray Kroc Awards Gala in Orlando, Florida, hosted by Steve Easterbrook, McDonald’s President and Chief Executive Officer, and David Fairhurst, McDonald's Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer.

“I was surprised and honored when I heard about the award,” said Sumption. “It would not have been possible without the support of my team and the encouragement and opportunities provided by Lewis Family McDonald’s.”

According to Jerry Lewis, owner/operator, “Jenny was nominated for her commitment to quality, service, and cleanliness. Jenny and her team provide guests a terrific experience each and every day. We’re happy that we’re able to recognize Jenny for her commitment to McDonald’s.”
