103rd annual Farmers-Merchants Picnic this weekend in Ada
FROM THE ADA ICON - The 103rd annual Ada Farmers’ and Merchants’ Picnic takes place Friday and Saturday, Aug. 12 and 13, in the War Memorial Park.
Here’s this year’s schedule:
Friday, Aug. 12
• Party in the Back 40
Gates open 5 p.m. "Mustang Sally" on stage from 8 p.m. to midnight
• Picnic Pull, 7 p.m. - Gates open at 4 p.m. - Registration at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 13
• 8 a.m. – OWHA Show, contest, halter and performance classes
• 9:30 a.m. parade – West Lincoln to Main Street to Park
• 10:30 a.m. – Main stage, flag raising, crowning of Little Prince and Princess
• 11 a.m. – Main stage, Pedal tractor pull for kids – sponsored by Ada Kiwanis
Entertainment
• Various individuals and groups will perform throughout the afternoon
Saturday afternoon and evening in Back 40
• Gates open 1 p.m. to midnight
8-midnight – "Brother Believe Me"
Other Saturday features
• Chain saw carving
• Bingo
• 4-H petting zoo
• Bessie Bingo
• Hourly door prizes – main drawing starts at 6:30 p.m.
Food options
• Hamburgers, hot dogs and brats, chicken noodles, pulled pork, walking tacos, potato salad, homemade pies, ice cream, corn on the cob, caramel apples.

• Rides and games for kids
• Ring toss – sponsored by Ada Rotary
• Swimming pool open (weather permitting – sponsored by Ada Lions)
HORSE SHOW - SATURDAY
The show is an Ohio Western Horse Association approved point show event, according to Jennifer Moshier, judge. It will conducted by O.W.H.A. rules.
