How long have you been on the library staff: A few weeks

What is the most frequent question you are asked at the library?
So far, where are the children’s books and where is the bathroom are the only questions I’ve had to answer.

What’s your favorite author, or authors or book genre?
Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut, among others.

How many books might you read in a month?
Not enough

What’s your experience with e-books (good, bad, no opinion)?
It’s better than nothing, great for traveling, but just not the same as paper.

What’s your favorite movie (one where you could recite the lines with the volume turned off)?
Princess Bride

Is there a book you’ve read that really disappointed you?
The last in the Eragon series.

Who is the first person you ever met from Bluffton?
Someone at the college.

If you wrote a book or a book series, what would be the plot?
Hmmm… (thinking)

What was your first-ever job (as a youngster) and how much did you make? I think we sold corn at a stand, made enough to buy ice cream or a candy bar from town.

Did you ever take musical instrument lesson? What instrument and how long did you play it?
Piano, clarinet, oboe. Not long enough.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I still haven’t decided, do I have to grow up?
