Is that coffee I smell on Main Street?

Twisted Wisk Cafe is open for business

The wait is over.

Coffee's on at Twisted Wisk Cafe, 101 S. Main St.

After one month without coffee, Bluffton woke up to the coffee smell on Saturday at the new owners of the downtown cafe held a "soft opening."

Word spread quickly. Watch the Icon this week for more details from the new owners.

The new owners are Samantha “Sam” Erter and Jessi and Luke Davis. The three have known each other since their school days in Kenton.

The three are purchasing the coffee shop and building at 101 S. Main St., from previous owners, Phil and Sharon Zimmerly. The Zimmerly’s owned the coffee shop for the past nine years, purchasing it from Whole Bean S Corp.

“The new name stresses that while coffee is served, a breakfast and lunch menu is also available. The new café’s logo will include a coffee cup,” said Erter.

She added that a new menus will  serve home made pastries, soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches and of course, coffee and other drinks.

Backroom Coffee Roaster of Galena, Ohio, will provide the shop its coffee. Rodabaugh Brothers Meats of Pandora will provide lunchmeats.

Sam Erter, who has worked with Common Grounds for the past four years, will operate the shop’s bakery and kitchen.

Luke Davis will be the shop’s “front man.” He previously supervised the investigation unit for Hardin County Children Services and was a forensic investigator with the Hardin County coroner’s office.

Jessi Davis is a pharmacist at Mary Rotan Hospital, Bellefontaine, and will continue working there.

Erter has two children, Sophia, 6, and Lenora, 10 months. The Davises have two children, Hudson, 5, and Annabel, 3.

An official grand opening will come later.
